Lesser-Known Travel Destination in the UK: Isle of Skye

I have to say, the Isle of Skye in Scotland really resembles Iceland! Plus, it's a paradise for Game of Thrones fans! We drove there ourselves, starting from Fort William and navigating all the way to the Isle of Skye. Halfway through, we realized the road ended—we actually had to take a ferry! After buying tickets, we drove our car onto a large ferry filled with all kinds of cars and motorcycles. It was quite a novel experience. On the way back, it was already dark, and we took a different route that featured a spectacular sea-crossing bridge. The scenery along the way was ever-changing and breathtaking. The island's ecosystem is amazing, with sheep everywhere—it felt like the set of Shaun the Sheep! We even almost hit two deer crossing the road. It was both thrilling and adorable! I think you can explore most of the island in just one day, but if you have the chance, staying overnight would be even better. The scenery is absolutely stunning, and it's also a filming location for Game of Thrones, with traces of the show everywhere. For those who can't make it to Iceland, I highly recommend this place. It's off the beaten path, with few tourists—simply fantastic! Just a heads-up: you can only get around by car here! Public transportation is too inconvenient!
