1st World War Memorial

The Lewis war memorial is a war memorial dedicated to the man from Lewis area ( outer Hebrides, Scotland) who had lost their lives in WW1. Is a 5 minutes 2.5 kilometers drive from Stornoway harbour, or you can walk 2.2 kilometers 30 minutes. The memorial takes the form of Scottish Barional tower rising to the heights of 85 feets.

Carloway Broch

Carloway Broch is located above Loch an Duin on a rocky knoll in a good defensive position. It is 36 kilometers 36 minutes drive from Stornoway harbour or bus W2 with 6 minutes of walk. The Carloway Broch is one of the best preserved in the Hebrides that date back over 2000 years. It is approximately 9 metres high and 15 metres diameter. It is open 24 hours with no admission fee, visitors centre is only open in summer.
