[Ida Beach] Just like being overseas! Relaxing snorkeling in the hidden corner of Iriomote Island

I had been curious about Ida Beach on Iriomote Island ever since I read a novel! Finally, I went there!!! As it is a hidden place, there were not many people and it had a really laid back atmosphere. There are a few restaurants in the port, and the food and the view from the restaurants are great! I went there twice, before and after going to the beach. From there, when you go through a jungle-like path, a transparent beach and white sand beach that you have never seen before spreads out before you. It's like a private beach overseas!! It was very similar to Maya Bay on Phi Phi Island that I went to before. I was surprised that there was such a place in Japan! [Tourist points] -------- ○ Bringing a snorkeling set is recommended → There are no shops or toilets on the beach, and no one is there. The water is very clear and there are almost no waves, so I highly recommend bringing a snorkeling set and swimming leisurely! We didn't see any, but someone swimming nearby said they saw a turtle just now! Apparently, you can see turtles even in very shallow waters! ! [Caution] ○There are no toilets, so use the toilets at the port! ○It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the port to the beach, but you will pass through a jungle-like area (the footing is not bad), so bring insect repellent. ▶︎Ida Beach 📍Iriomote, Taketomi-cho, Yaeyama-gun, Okinawa Prefecture (There is no clear address, but if you search for the name, it will come up on the map!) ▶︎Access It is about a 10-minute boat ride from Shirahama Port on Iriomote Island, and boat tickets can be purchased right at the port. You can take a bus right up to Shirahama Port, so if you are staying in Iriomote, it is quite easy to get there. However, it takes just under an hour by boat from Ishigaki Island to get to Iriomote Island, so it may be a bit hectic if you are going on a day trip from Ishigaki. There are very few buses to Iriomote Island, so we recommend that you check the bus and ferry times in advance and plan accordingly! #Ida Beach #Iriomote Island #Okinawa #Snorkeling #Ocean #Secret Place #Travel with Me

Ida beach

A little adventure to Ida no Hama Beach. It's about a 30-minute bus ride from Uehara Port on Iriomote Island to Shirahama Station. From Shirahama Port, you can continue your adventure by boat. Check the time of the return boat and board the Funauki Maru. We arrived at Funauki Port on a boat with only about three people on board. We continued walking from there and after about 15 minutes Ida no Hama came into view. We ate some juicy kamaboko from Kinjo Kamaboko Shop that we had procured on Ishigaki Island on the beach. There was no one here either, so we had the spectacular view all to ourselves. The rice balls we stuffed into our mouths while feeling grateful for peace were also exceptionally tasty. #Kinjo Kamaboko #Jushi Kamaboko #Ishigaki Island #Iriomote Island #Ida Beach #Amazing View #Shirahama #Funauki #Remote Island #Remote Island Trip #Okinawa #Amazing View
