Goryeo Mountain Got Me Sweaty, Winded, and Totally in Love

#summervacay So I finally hit up Goryeo Mountain on Ganghwa Island, and this little island peak totally surprised me. It’s not crazy high, but don’t let that fool you. The trail comes at you quick with steady inclines and a few rocky bits that’ll wake your legs up real fast. But the best part? Those wide open coastal views peeking through the trees as you climb. Seriously, at some points it felt like I was hiking in a painting. Once you hit the top, there’s this classic stone pagoda and an open ridge where you can just chill and take in the whole dang island. You can even spot the sea and North Korea on a clear day, wild, right? Not too crowded either, which made it even better. Super peaceful, full of history, and just enough of a workout to earn your post-hike snack. Goryeo Mountain might not be famous, but it totally earned a spot on my favorites list.
