Sulphur Mountain

#canadatrip The experience doesn't end at the gondola terminal! The 1 km long, easy-to-walk Sulphur Mountain Boardwalk connects the main building to Sanson's Peak, which is the true summit. The views from the historic weather observatory and the restored Cosmic Ray Station (a National Historic Site) are simply stunning—a full 360-degree panorama. Walking the wooden pathway gives you different perspectives of Cascade Mountain, Mount Rundle, and the Spray Valley. The interpretive signs along the way also provide great context on the area's geology and the history of weather observation in Banff National Park. It's an easy, interesting addition that justifies the price of the gondola ticket.
