Sulphur Mountain

#canadatrip We opted to hike the 5.5 km Sulphur Mountain Trail instead of taking the gondola, and while it's a relentless climb of 700 meters of elevation gain, the satisfaction of earning those views was immense! The trail is all switchbacks through the forest, which can feel a little repetitive, but it's well-maintained and accessible year-round (just bring ice cleats in winter). A great tip: hike up and then purchase the affordable one-way ticket down on the gondola. This saves your knees and lets you enjoy the incredible views during the descent without the crowds on the trail. A challenging but highly rewarding activity for the active traveler on their #canadatrip.
