Daigoku Takamikoto, also known as Daikokuten, is revered as a benevolent deity who bestows blessings and prosperity. He is best known for the folklore of the "Inaba White Rabbit," and has been revered since ancient times as a deity of luck and medicine. Shonahiko Namikoto is revered as the founder of medicine and is believed to be able to save all from incurable diseases. The spring water flowing from the shrine is said to be miraculous for treating eye diseases. During the Great East Japan Earthquake, Oarai Town was struck by a tsunami as high as four meters, but miraculously no one died. This spring, which flowed abundantly at the time, not only soothed the throats of those seeking water during the tsunami's water shortage, but also healed the hearts and minds of those suffering from the tsunami. From the top of the stairs, the three torii gates offer a breathtaking view down to the Kamiso no Torii gate perched on the rocks. The shrine features a charming white rabbit amulet, a white rabbit seal on the goshuin seal, and a beautiful goshuin screen with the design of the Isomae Torii gate.
