Occupying a vast area of 200 hectares, the Hitachi Seaside Park boasts two of Kanto's most exquisite floral landscapes, which are considered must-see wonders in a lifetime for the Japanese. One of these wonders is the hilltop covered with Nemophila flowers, starting from late April. Over 4.5 million Nemophila plants dye the hilltop in shades of powder blue. From the observatory on the hill, the view below is a sea of flowers densely packed with sapphire petals, blending seamlessly with the azure sky, perfectly embodying the concept of 'heaven and earth in one hue'. It's no wonder it has been selected as one of the top ten most romantic flower fields in the world. If you happen to miss the enchanting Nemophila bloom, beloved by women, the summer brings a different scene with the hills taken over by Kochia. It's as if countless neat green algae balls have occupied the landscape, offering a healing view. Paired with the park's rotation of daffodils, tulips, rapeseed, lavender, and sunflowers, it's a competition of beauty.
