Miyazaki Prefecture Omi Shrine Ryugu Shrine

Omijinja Shrine is popularly known as Hyuga no Ise-sama. Built on a pillar-shaped rock with a spectacular view overlooking the ocean, Omijinja Shrine was once known as Amaterasu Omikami Shrine, and it is said that Ninigi-no-Mikoto, the grandson of the heavenly goddess, worshipped his ancestor Amaterasu Omikami and prayed for peace.
