A healing day with my bestie: shopping and eating

When I meet up with my bestie, even the air feels sweet. Today is another day filled with happiness! In the afternoon, we meet up at the supermarket. As soon as we walk in, we are greeted by a dazzling array of products. We wander through the aisles, picking out our favorite snacks. She picks up a bag of chips and says with a smile, "This is a new flavor, we have to try it!" Not to be outdone, I pick out a few boxes of chocolate. Passing by the fruit section, we see fresh strawberries that look so juicy and delicious. We pick out a whole box to take home for dessert. After shopping, our stomachs start to growl, so we head to our favorite restaurant. We order our favorite signature dishes. The sweet and sour ribs are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a sweet and sour sauce coating every piece of meat. With a gentle bite, the meat falls off the bone. The mapo tofu is spicy and fragrant, with tofu so soft and tender that it melts in your mouth. We enjoy our meal while sharing the little things in our lives, from small work troubles to funny jokes we saw online. Our laughter echoes throughout the restaurant. After the meal, we can't miss out on milk tea. We walk into a milk tea shop and order our favorites. I take a big sip of my bubble tea, and the chewy pearls dance in my mouth as the sweet milk tea slides down my throat, filling me with happiness. My bestie holds her taro bubble tea and squints her eyes in satisfaction. Holding our milk teas, we stroll leisurely down the street. The sun shines warmly on us. We talk about funny things from our childhood, and it feels like just yesterday that we were going to school and playing together. Before we know it, the sun sets, and the sky is painted with orange and red clouds. Time with my bestie is always short and sweet. There's nothing earth-shattering, just ordinary things like shopping, eating, and drinking milk tea, but they make ordinary days shine. I look forward to our next meeting to continue our happy days.
