One-day trip to Xiaojing Bay

Xiaojing Bay Huizhou's Shuangyue Bay and Xunliao Bay are very famous. Today, at the invitation of a friend from Shanghai, I visited Xiaojing Bay on the east side of Daya Bay in Huizhou. Starting from Futian in Shenzhen, along the eastern coastal expressway, it took a smooth 80 minutes to get off the expressway and drive 2 km through the shaded mountain road to reach China Resources Xiaojing Bay. A series of modern hotel cinema complexes were the first to come into view, which was quite surprising. My friend bought the fifth phase, which has a great view, including the Le Meridien Hotel, Wutoushan Greenway, and other seaside scenery. Looking down from the air and walking on the ground, one can clearly feel that the high-rise residential buildings are well spaced, and there is ample public space, which is unimaginable in Shenzhen. The parking space within the community is completely indoor, with plenty of parking spaces. All the ground is covered with grass or granite, well managed, and clean and hygienic. We went to a nearby village for lunch, and had the typical seaside stall dishes: sea urchin fried rice, clay pot chicken, fried you fish rolls, stir-fried large intestines, and garlic vegetables. The craftsmanship and taste were quite good. A large number of residences have sprung up, actually forming a brand-new small town. The landmark building is the Le Meridien Hotel under the Marriott's French brand, with peak season prices reaching 1800 RMB per night. To its west is the 5 km long Wutoushan Greenway, marked with the word 'provincial', indicating that it is a municipal facility. However, the long longitudinal cracks on the rubber asphalt surface indicate that the local management level is not on the same level as China Resources. Looking from the greenway towards the approximately two-kilometer-long beach, behind it is a dense array of high-rise residential buildings. Among them, eighty percent of the buildings behind the beach belong to the China Resources Xiaojing Bay project, which covers a total area of 1.17 million square meters, with a construction area of over 3 million square meters, providing 11,000 residential units and supporting commercial facilities. (The remaining twenty percent of the beach to the east and the eastern part belong to the Country Garden Silver Beach project, which covers an area of 1.44 million square meters, with a construction area of 1.69 million square meters, providing 50,000 residential units and supporting facilities. My friend was somewhat disdainful of it.) To the east of the hotel is the town's food street, a completely newly built two-story building complex with various eateries, including international chains like McDonald's, KFC, and Yoshinoya. Usually, it's good for a small town to have one KFC, but the presence of both McDonald's and KFC indicates that the local demand has reached a considerable scale. Crossing the town to the beach, the sand is white and fine, and there are quite a few people. It's a bit unexpected to find such a place like Xiaojing Bay in Xiayong Town, a remote part of Huizhou City, which is also liked by people from Shanghai. The return journey has already started to get crowded. Traffic police have rescue tow trucks available every few kilometers, and an additional tidal lane has been added in the direction of entering the city. The response of first-tier city management is still fast.
