Guangdong has finally welcomed the best season for cycling!

First, a question: This time I planned the route myself, 76km with 1700m elevation gain, riding while watching the cumulative elevation gain, so how did the final elevation gain end up being 1330m?! My heart sank!! - Route: Around Nanshui Lake ‼️Note: There is a fork at Dongtian Village. Most people cycling around the lake go straight on Pingru Road, but it is now closed. You can turn right onto County Road 358, which will eventually merge back to Pingru Road. There are many landslides on the mountain road, so please be very careful. - Beginner’s diary: I originally planned to climb Guangdong’s highest peak, but the road was under repair and closed. Since I just cycled around Qiandao Lake, I wasn’t that interested in lake cycling this time, but unexpectedly the scenery was absolutely stunning throughout. This route is so comprehensive: HC-level climbs, cliff-hanging roads, Xijing Ancient Trail, karst landforms... Highly recommended with five stars 🌟*5 There are many more routes in Ruyuan/Shaoguan, and I will come back several more times. It’s so close and so beautiful, perfect for a weekend trip to northern Guangdong. This time I just tried about 1500m elevation gain, but eventually I want to ride the ‘Cliff-hanging Road’ with 2500m elevation gain. - I have to say, you must have respect for cycling. Just when I felt I liked climbing more and more, I fell at zero speed starting on a half slope 🤕 Thankful my body still took care of me somewhat. I only got a calf cramp after finishing and returning to the parking lot.
