Huili Conference Memorial Site

The Red Army Long March Huili Conference Memorial Site is located by the Xianren Lake and includes the Red Army Memorial Square, the conference site, and the visitor center. In May 1935, after the Red Army crossed the Jinsha River and entered Huili, the first expanded meeting of the Central Political Bureau was held in Tiechang Village on May 12. The Huili Conference was an important meeting during the Long March. It unified the strategic thinking of the Red Army, consolidated the achievements of the Zunyi Conference, further established Mao Zedong's leadership in the Party and the Red Army, and maintained the unity of the central and Red Army leadership. It also played a decisive role in the successful meeting of the First and Fourth Red Armies in northwestern Sichuan. There is no public transportation to this attraction in Huili City, so you can only take a taxi to visit.
