Take it off; cold? Add it back). Never just wear a T-shirt + thin sunscreen—summit winds are bone-chilling! A raincoat is also a good idea. 🥾 Gear is key to a comfortable climb! Hiking poles! Knee pads! Please bring them! Huangshan is no joke, especially the downhill impact on your knees. Comfortable hiking/sports shoes with good grip! The steps are many and steep—avoid flat sneakers. Strongly recommend a lightweight backpack! Shoulder bags will kill you. Free 40°C warm water is available at most scenic spots and rest areas! Pack high-energy, lightweight snacks: chocolate, energy bars, beef jerky, small bread, etc. There are also restaurants and shops at the summit! ⌚️ Time and energy management: Start early!
