A 7-hour hike in Huangshan in December!

Huangshan is beautiful in many ways, with a golden world before sunset, a dreamy sea of clouds before sunrise, and pine trees and strange rocks. 📍Hiking route: Recommended route 📌 Hike up the front mountain and take the cable car down the back mountain Morning - Ciguang Pavilion → Banshan Temple → Panke Pine → Penglai Three Islands → Guest-Greeting Pine → Lotus Peak → Narrow Sky → Turtle Peak → Bright Summit Watch the sunset 🌅 (Route in the 4th photo) ⏰Total time: 7 hours, 11:00 am - 6:00 pm Stay on the mountain overnight Get up early to watch the sunrise 🌄 → Take the Yungu Cableway down the mountain 🧳Preparation: ① Thermal underwear + hiking jacket + hard shell pants + scarf + gloves + hat + sunglasses + hiking poles. Keep warm, as the temperature difference between the two sides of the mountain is large, and the wind is strong. ② Hand warmers, power bank (low temperature drains battery), flashlight (in case it gets dark), food (high-calorie food like chocolate, cheese, and biscuits), water (CNY 10 per bottle on the mountain 😧) 🚉Transportation: There are direct buses from Huangshan North Station/Hongcun to Tangkou Town Transfer Center in Huangshan Scenic Area, CNY 15. → Ciguang Pavilion, Yuping Cableway (front mountain) → Yungu Temple, Yungu Cableway (back mountain), CNY 23, 20 min ❗️❗️Check the direction of your ticket and cableway before choosing the bus. 🚠Cableway operating hours: 6:10 am - 5:10 pm (uphill) Cableway duration: 15 min, 7:30 am - 7:00 pm (downhill) 🏨Hotel: If you want to watch the sunrise, you can stay on the mountain. We chose Bai'e Mountain Villa Youth Hostel, which is relatively cheap, CNY 260+ per person. It is about a 20-minute walk from the best place to watch the sunrise, Bright Summit. 📝Tips: Check the weather in advance. Tiandu Peak, Lotus Peak, Xihai Grand Canyon, and the cableway will be adjusted according to the season. Check in advance to avoid disappointment. 🤪 📋In conclusion: A very meaningful trip, my first official outdoor trip. From buying the equipment to suddenly deciding to give up the cableway and walk up the mountain for 7 hours, the beauty of Huangshan will not disappoint. The happiest thing in January was watching the sunset on Huangshan and listening to Zhou Chuanxiong's "Dusk" 🌅 Walking back to the hostel at night, I looked up and saw the most beautiful starry sky of my life 🌌 Getting up at 6:00 am was worth it to witness the sunrise 🌄 "If you miss the sunrise at 5:00 am, you may be able to wait for the sunset at 6:00 am.
