The homestay is located in the depths of the National 5A Chengkan Ancient Village Scenic Area, which has experienced thousands of years of vicissitudes. It is a model of Ming Dynasty Huizhou architecture. It is located south of Huangshan Mountain, the source of the Xin'an River, and is close to Chengkan Zhongying Street and the historic Baolun Pavilion. It is the only privately owned homestay in China. · Design The main body of the hotel was originally two Ming Dynasty Huizhou buildings. The predecessor was the residence of the Xin'an Chinese medicine family and the Huizhou salt merchant. The owner fell in love with it at first sight in 2005 and took it into his pocket. In 2017, the restoration began, and it took two years to finalize the plan and three years to restore the bricks and tiles of the building one by one, maintaining the original woodwork system. The beam and column frame is mainly made of wood, and the craftsmanship restores and reproduces the mortise and tenon combination. Adhering to the concept of "repairing the old as the old", the combination of ancient and modern has a unique flavor. · Rooms The homestay has a total of 8 rooms, inspired by the eight elegant qin, chess, calligraphy, painting, poetry, wine, flowers, and tea of ancient literati, maintaining a consistent boutique texture. Wooden furniture is placed indoors, and the comprehensive cold tone is clear. It retains the bony feeling of Ming-style furniture and fits the Huizhou aesthetics.
