There are 16 ancient cypresses in the courtyard of Xuanyuan Temple, the most precious of which are the 'Cypress Planted by the Yellow Emperor' and the 'Cypress with Armor Hung by Emperor Wu of Han'. 👍Most recommended: The Cypress Planted by the Yellow Emperor, about 20 meters high, vigorous and upright, with leaves that do not wither throughout the year, dense and layered, like a giant green umbrella. It is said that this cypress was personally planted by Emperor Xuanyuan, over 5000 years ago, making it one of the oldest cypresses in the world. Since the establishment of New China, sacrificial ceremonies have been held here every year during the Qingming Festival and the Double Ninth Festival.
