Hualien Cultural and Historical Architecture Tour

Hualien is home to many buildings from the Japanese colonial period, including the Hualien City Hospitality Cultural Center. Originally built as the staff dormitory for the Hualien Port Branch of the Taipei District Court during the Japanese era, the center opened in 2018 as a venue dedicated to preserving historical architecture and promoting Hakka culture. The center hosts exhibitions on Hakka culture, workshops, and courses such as Hakka language and cuisine. Through showcasing the history of Hakka settlement in Hualien and local industries, the center aims to revitalize the space and promote Hakka culture.
