Aloha!

I would say that Hawaii was never on my must-do list - everything I read about Hawaii makes it sound like everyone on earth would love it? So, here I am. I generally dislike ocean swimming, which is a huge draw here, due to its warm weather. Next, I burn easily too though I do not mind putting the sunscreen daily. We have probably spent about 1 hour tops on a beach (other than just walking on the beach). I was not a "beach person," though my husband would fit the bill, but I greatly enjoy the treks in the national parks. So, we were on the go every mornings until later in the noon, seeing all the local sights, before heading back for a quick soak/ happy hour at the pool. We ended our 1st leg of the trip today at Oahu Island, headed to Kauai this morning. We stayed at Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach which was a pretty strategic located accomodation - shopping street, grocery, and popular take-outs were around the corner. Here's the question - Is Hawaii for everyone, even the non- beach lovers like myself? Thousands of miles from where I came from for this - yes and no. In my opinion, there were various parts during our drives, that we saw the likes in Thailand, secluded Malaysia, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Let's check out Kauai, nevertheless!
