Liujiang Ancient Town

Liujiang Ancient Town | It's not summer without playing in the water Liujiang Ancient Town was originally named Lucun, and it was established as 'Mingyue Town' in the tenth year of the Shaoxing period of the Southern Song Dynasty (i.e., 1140 AD), boasting a history of over 800 years. It is known as 'Misty Rain Liujiang'. The water-friendliness of Liujiang Ancient Town is quite impressive. From the bank to the riverside, there are shallow pools, streams, and cascades. Along the water, there are gardens and stepping paths. You can take off your shoes to play in the pools, walk in the streams with your shoes in hand, or go down to the water's edge to feel the rush of the small waterfalls... Children and adults alike play wildly in the water, and each play area is surrounded by stone steps or dams for safety. The wooden plank bridges, stepping paths, and arch bridges that cross the river are also varied in form. Along the water, there are bars, music, vine pepper duck, wooden houses, bamboo rafts, red lanterns, and fearless pink dragonflies and green butterflies... It's very suitable for taking a walk with children in the summer, and also for sketching in the ancient town. However, be mindful of heatstroke prevention, as there isn't much wind by the water and it can still be quite sultry.
