Guangsheng Temple

Guangsheng Temple is located in Hongtong County, Linfen City, Shanxi Province. It is a national 4A scenic spot and was first built in the first year of Emperor Huan of the Eastern Han Dynasty (147 AD). The Guangsheng Temple Scenic Area is divided into two temples and a water god temple. The Feihong Tower, the "Zhaocheng Jincang", and the Yuan Dynasty murals of the Water God Temple are collectively referred to as the "Three Uniques of Guangsheng". The Feihong Tower is one of the five Buddha Sheli Towers and is the only colored glaze tower that has been discovered so far with the inscription of the craftsman and the largest and most complete colored glaze tower. In August 2018, the building was determined to be the "world's tallest colored glaze tower". "Zhaocheng Jincang" is the first woodcut version of the Dazangjing in the Song Dynasty in China. It is called the four treasures of the National Library with "Yongle Dadian", "Siku Quanshu", and "Dunhuang Yishu". The Water God Temple is the most complete temple dedicated to the water god in China. The Yuan Dynasty murals in it have extremely high historical and artistic value. Guangsheng Temple is not only famous for its rich historical and cultural value, but also because of its unique architectural style and well-preserved ancient cultural relics, it has become an important tourist attraction. It attracts a large number of tourists to worship and sightseeing every year.
