Hong Kong version of Kwu Tung Reservoir, a heart-shaped lake with silvergrass

The Kwu Tung Reservoir is located to the south of Kwu Tung Village in Sheung Shui. It was originally used for irrigation but is now used for firefighting purposes. The Heart-Shaped Lake is located at a high overlooking point on the hill of the Upper Reservoir of Kwu Tung Reservoir. As the position of the reservoir looks very much like a heart when viewed from above, it is called the "Hong Kong Version of the Heart-Shaped Lake". To get to the heart-shaped lake, you can start from the Kwu Tung Market, walk along Kwu Tung South Road for about 10 minutes to the Kwu Tung Water Supply Reservoir, and then turn left for about 5 minutes after reaching the fork in the road to reach the Kwu Tung Reservoir. Afterwards, walk past the Gudong Dam and along the path beside the pond. Walk slowly up the mountain on the muddy and sandy ground for about 50 meters to reach the best location to view the heart-shaped lake.
