Ma Wan - a mini vacation in the vicinity of the city

My kid joined the Noah’s Ark winter camp and we missed the camp bus so had to hire a cab to go there (only taxis and licensed buses can enter the area), but it turned into a nice mini vacation for mummy😆 After dropping my kid off at the Noah’s Ark theme park (which also has a hotel), I’ve come to the beach looking at the Tsing Ma Bridge. This man-made beach is clean and well-maintained, with shower facilities, and it’s nice and peaceful in the morning. I walked to the pier side in search of caffeine, and found a sunny plaza where diners can buy food from food joints and cafes and eat at tables outdoor. There are also Pacific Coffee and a big supermarket. If you’re also a bookworm you can go to the book corner in the pier waiting lounge, where community members drop off their preloved books and anyone can pick to read. Lunch was at Oma’s Kitchen, a German restaurant. The grilled chicken that comes with fries was very nice, especially when you dine alfresco with a iced drink looking at the beach and children playing 🏖! #beach
