M1 Hotel Yau Ma Tei

The hotel is located at 28 Portland Street, Yau Ma Tei, 2 minutes' drive from Exit B1 of Yau Ma Tei MTR Station. It is close to Temple Street, Yau Ma Tei Fruit Market, Broadway Cinematheque in Prosperous Garden, as well as Kowloon Per Man Hotel, Silka Seaview Hotel, Prince Hotel, etc. It is very convenient for eating, drinking and having fun! The only thing that is not ideal is that there is a longevity store next to the hotel, which may be taboo for some people! The hotel reception is in the basement lobby. The check-in procedure is simple. You just need to fill in some simple information and pay a deposit of $500, then you can get the key card to go to your room. There are two elevators for going up and down. There are many negative reviews about this hotel online, especially about the attitude of the staff, but I don’t think it’s that bad. The attitude of the staff is good! The room is average in size, not too small, with a big bed and a large windowsill, but outside the window are the houses and street scenes opposite, nothing to see, just draw the curtains! The basic facilities are complete, except for bottled water and wardrobe, there are clothes hangers on the wall. There are not many power sockets, not even near the bed, and of course there are no USB charging sockets either, which is not very convenient! The toilet is connected to the shower room, separated only by a shower curtain. The shower has sufficient hot water and water volume, but there is only a small three-in-one shower gel. The toiletries only have a basic toothbrush set and shower cap, and the large and small towels are complete. There is also a special restaurant on the first floor of the hotel called Manli Wall City. The environment is decorated like a forest, but it was too late when I checked in and it was closed. I didn’t try the food, so I don’t know how the quality is? The overall feeling is not too bad, the basic facilities are all available, the price is reasonable, and it is a good place for a simple stay! #localtravel #cheaphotel #valuehotel #yaumateifruitmarket #yaumateihotel #broadwaycinemacenter #yaumateitemplestreet
