#meethongkong Throwback to before Covid hits the world Milk Tea is the Real Deal This is basically an older Hong Kong style cafe and for comparison it’d be like an American diner. So you have to come in with reasonable expectations. It’s by no means fine dining or the prettiest of places but you will get the experience of a legitimate Hong Kong cafe style meal. The Milk Tea is reason enough to come here. The gentlemen in the sleeveless shirt takes his job seriously and puts out a delicious cup of tea. You can get it hot or cold and I generally enjoy the cold one as it’s a nice refreshment on a warm day. Coming here for the first time though I opted for the original hot milk tea. Add sugar to suit your own personal taste. I’m not affected by caffeine so I can’t comment on the strength of the tea but the “tea taste” is strong. Milk teas that I have had at other shops have sometimes tasted watered down. That is not the case here. I found the servers friendly and they chatted with us in Cantonese. Some of them have their quirks and may come off as rude but Cantonese can sometimes sound like an angry language. But this adds to the genuine HK cafe experience and not unlike some of the interesting characters that reside at any diner. #mytripvlog #境外遊 #foodie #throwback
