You may consider going to the InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong in Tsim Sha Tsui East on weekends to eat, drink and have fun. The hotel now offers the "Taste of Stay" plan, which includes buffet breakfast and buffet dinner. 🏨 Accommodation experience: We stayed in the Deluxe Sea View Room on the 5th floor that day. The room was comfortable and elegant, with an area of ​​about 32 square meters, and was quite spacious. The rooms offer a panoramic view of Victoria Harbour. There is a desk and a comfortable armchair in the room. With the fruit plate (apples, oranges and bananas) provided by the hotel, it is a nice place to relax while appreciating the view of Victoria Harbour in the room. ⭕️ Pros: Room facilities include Wi-Fi service, bathtub (this is very important, I personally prefer bubble bath 🫧), shower 🚿, TV 📺, Nespresso coffee machine ☕️, hair dryer, bathrobe, Byredo bathroom products, private safe, mini bar, iron, etc. The hotel has a swimming pool (open until 8pm) and a 24-hour fitness room, allowing guests to exercise at any time. ❌ Cons: 🛌 I personally feel that the duvet is quite thick. It will be very hot when I cover myself with it at night, but it will be a bit cold without it. I feel conflicted... 🛁 The bathtub is relatively shallow. If it were deeper, it would create the effect of soaking in a hot spring. 🔌 There are no USB charging plugs in the room, so it is a bit inconvenient for travelers to bring their own adapters. 🍽 Dining Experience: 🍽🌕 Buffet Dinner The last night of the day will be themed "Seafood Feast" (currently we are having a Crab Feast). Each guest will receive 2 chips, which can be used to redeem fresh oysters (three per person) and baked oysters with cheese, cream and spinach (one per person). The frozen seafood area includes Canadian cod crab legs, king crabs, mussels, snails, clams, shrimps and crayfish. The quota of 3 oysters per person is a bit not enough, and the oyster meat is fresh and juicy. The meat of the long-legged crab is relatively salty, not very firm and has more seawater in it. The king crab was a pleasant surprise, with lots of crab roe, and is a must-try seafood. 🥗 There are three types of frozen meat, and 5-6 types of salads, salad vegetables and fruits. They are all fresh and popular choices. It is recommended to save room for other delicacies. 🍣 For sashimi, scallops are more recommended, as they are fresh, sweet and thick. The tuna meat was a bit loose, which was a bit disappointing. The sushi looks good, and my friend praised the Hokkaido snow crab meat and crab roe sushi for its high quality and delicious taste. 🍽 In terms of hot food, my favorite Western hot dishes at buffets are roast beef and freshly roasted lamb rack. The beef is quite tender and tastes good. The lamb rack is fried until the outside is slightly charred, and the meat inside is tender and juicy. Adding a little mint sauce can help relieve the greasiness. It is recommended. Spanish paella is also a good choice, the rice grains are chewy. The batter for the fried shrimp was a bit thick, which was a bit disappointing. On the contrary, the Indian gourmet curry lamb has outstanding spice flavor and tastes first-class when paired with Indian flatbreads/crackers. 🥢 For Chinese hot dishes, it turns out that suckling pig will be available at 19:30 every night, and only one suckling pig will be available every night. Fortunately, my smart friend saw the people at the next table eating suckling pig, so I quickly went to the barbecue station to get it. The suckling pig skin is quite crispy and a little hard. On the contrary, the roasted pork skin was tender and crispy, but the pork belly was fatty and salty. Chinese stew is also my favorite. If you have a good appetite, you might as well combine hash browns, sausages, bacon, corn and baked staple foods such as croissants, waffles, hot cookies, muffins, etc. to make an all-day breakfast. Pair it with cereal for breakfast, which is really quite rich. 🥢 Personally, I feel that the Chinese options are inferior. The shrimp dumplings and siu mai are ordinary items with average taste. The beef siu mai has a strong batter texture and is really hard to eat. 🫠 You can add sweet sauce and sesame sauce to the rice rolls by yourself, and it tastes good when paired with the dried vegetable and pork bone porridge of the day. There are also fried noodles, guinea fowl and other dishes available. There are also many choices for breakfast drinks. In addition to coffee and tea, you can also choose juice.
