Hidden Monument Near the Coast.

I recently discovered Signal Tower, even though it is situated in Tsim Sha Tsui, a famous tourist destination in the Kowloon area. The British government built the tower in 1907 (officially becoming a monument in 2015) to house a time ball apparatus of the Hong Kong Observatory. The tower stood around 18 meters tall on Signal Hill, the only hill left in Tsim Sha Tsui nowadays. It is currently known as Signal Hill Garden. This place is a perfect location to see the vessels across the sea. The whole red brick of the tower reflects an old building's heritage in Hong Kong. Unique and beautiful. The tower is a 4-minute walk from Tsim Sha Tsui East exit K. You need to hike up the stairs to reach the monument. I did not meet many people hanging out in the garden, maybe because of the hill hidden amid Tsim Sha Tsui skyscrapers. #oldtower #monument #heritage
