Earlier this year, a miniature exhibit at the Central Market faithfully recreated Hong Kong's past, evoking the collective memories of the middle-aged and older generations. The exhibit showcased unique miniature works of iconic buildings from past and present across Hong Kong's 18 districts. This unprecedented display offers a panoramic view of Victoria Harbour at night, complete with animated fireworks projections, showcasing the vibrant atmosphere of fireworks viewing on Victoria Harbour. The exhibits also showcased some of Hong Kong's last remaining original tenement buildings, creating a sense of time travel, traversing the past and present, and revisiting stories of the people of different eras. Beyond the Victoria Harbour, the exhibition also featured an elaborate Halloween Lan Kwai Fong. The exhibition also featured miniature artworks unique to each district, including those at the Central Market, the Sha Tin Dragon Boat Ferry, Lee Tung Street, and the Wong Tai Sin Temple windmill. In addition to the location-themed exhibits, there are other uniquely Hong Kong pieces, such as the "Emperor of Kowloon," Tsang Tsou Choi, whose image was specially painted in black and white, contrasting with the colorful electrical box, to commemorate him. There's also the stage set for a performance of a divine opera, where the flower cards feature over 800 tiny light bulbs.
