Hong Kong Museum of History

This used to be my favourite museum in Hong Kong; I have spent countless hours wandering around the wonderful 'Hong Kong Story', which told of Hong Kong's history starting from prehistoric times up until the return of Hong Kong to China. Fantastic sets were showing the way different people (Hakka, tanka, Cheung Chau) used to live, and shops from old Hong Kong showing the various goods from those times. Now, it has all changed. I was so shocked! They got rid of the fantastic history of Hong Kong to only focus on the recent protests, China's missions to space, Portuguese migrants to Macau, and Chinese emigrants to the US. There was only a very small area for the history of Hong Kong, with very few exhibits. I was so disappointed, I will not be returning. #couplestrip#familytravel
