Tin Hau Temple: Goddess of Mercy and the God of the Sea

#VisitHongKong Tin Hau Temple (also known as the Kuan Yin Temple in Thais who are into spiritualism) is located in Repulse Bay. Some people come to the temple to pray for blessings, while others come to relax in Repulse Bay. You can also stop by the temple. It's just a short walk along the beach. 🛕Tin Hau Temple (meaning "God of the Sea") lives up to its name. Located right on the seafront, the statues are of deities seated on turtles and fish. 😁 Inside the temple are large, colorful statues of the Goddess of Mercy, the Sangkachai Buddha, and various other deities. It's a great place to pray for health, love, and good fortune. The highlight is the towering white statue of Kuan Yin facing the sea, creating a peaceful and sacred atmosphere. There's also a red bridge across it, believed to promote longevity. You can also throw coins into the mouth of the golden fish. 🚘Getting there: From Central, take bus no. 6, 6A, 6X, 66, or 260 and get off at the Repulse Bay stop. It's a 5-minute walk from there.
