Cheung Chau, Hong Kong｜A Romantic Secluded Island

🚢 Take the ferry from Central Pier No. 5, and you can reach Cheung Chau Island in about 30 to 40 minutes! There are plenty of departures, but you can check the schedule first to avoid waiting. Most of Hong Kong’s outlying islands have traditional small shops, so it’s safer to exchange some cash beforehand! 💰 Cheung Chau is famous for its glutinous rice balls (I recommend the mango & purple sweet potato flavors) and giant fish balls—you have to try them! I also stumbled upon a Japanese restaurant where the bowls and plates have cute cat designs, and the food is delicious～🐈🐾 If you turn right after getting off the ferry and see a crowd, you’ll find many snack stalls there. Further inside, there are some creative shops where you can paint love locks and write letters to send postcards～💌 Walk to the other end of the island, and you’ll find the beautiful sea～ If you want to swim, there are showers, restrooms, and changing rooms here! But to enjoy the sunset, you’ll need to be on the pier side ( ^ω^ )
