Atmosphere/Place - Tai Kwun was formerly the Central Police Station and Victoria Prison of Hong Kong. It has now been renovated into one of Hong Kong’s beautiful tourist attractions. Inside, the architecture is British-style, with old buildings that have been renovated and freshly painted to look modern. There are various zones to explore, including the old prison area with actual cells. Inside the cells, there is now a café called On The Hill Café Bar. Nearby is an open courtyard for resting. On holidays, students often come here for field trips. Inside the buildings, exhibitions showcase the history of the place with old photos, lecturers, tools, and old prisoner uniforms. The JC Contemporary building also displays contemporary art. There are many photo spots here; we recommend visiting the area with the orange wall for a great vibe.
