Enjoy summer happiness on Hong Kong's outlying islands for just 40 HKD

When visiting Hong Kong, I recommend spending a day in Sai Kung to explore some unique islands🏝️ That day, I arrived in Sai Kung at noon, then bought a boat ticket to Kiu Tsui Chau before having lunch. After lunch, the timing was just right to board the boat. There are two disembarkation points: Half Moon Bay and Kiu Tsui Beach. Briefly, here are the differences: 1- If you mainly want to play in the water, both spots are good. Kiu Tsui Beach is popular for snorkeling and kayaking, and there’s also a sandbar connecting the islands for photo ops. To catch the Angel Road photo spot, you need to time it right— around 2:30 PM when the tide goes out, you can capture the entire path. 2- If you just want to swim and sunbathe, I suggest going to Half Moon Bay, where you can rent a sun umbrella to relax under the sun. 3- My chosen route that day: Sandbar + hiking + swimming and sunbathing. I started at Kiu Tsui Beach, took photos at the sandbar, then began hiking. Crossing over the hill to Half Moon Bay for swimming and sunbathing. However, walking from Half Moon Bay to Kiu Tsui Beach is a bit easier. 📸 Photo tips: 1. Wear light-colored dresses when shooting Angel Road on the sandbar for a Japanese-style vibe. 2. Capture the fusion of sunlight and beach light. Hiking tips: Hong Kong summers are hot, so prepare plenty of water! Sun umbrella! Sunscreen! Small fan! Bring cooling patches like Kobayashi heat relief stickers. A little reflection: The temperature was 38°C that day 🥲 I usually don’t drink much water, but I drank 2 liters! Great spots for photo ops, outlying island trips, and island recommendations.
