Exploring the Hong Kong Museum of Medical Sciences

🩺 The Hong Kong Museum of Medical Sciences, located at 2 Caine Lane, Mid-Levels, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong, was established in 1996 and is a specialized museum focused on medicine. The museum was formerly the Hong Kong Bacteriological Testing Institute, which opened on March 15, 1906 🦠 to combat the then-prevalent plague 🐀. In 1990, the Hong Kong government declared it a statutory monument. It is one of the few remaining Edwardian-era buildings in Hong Kong. Admission to the museum is $20. The recently very popular 🫁 jellycat organ-shaped plush toys 🫀 are exclusively sold here, with the uterus plush toy being the most sought after.
