The surface of the pork chop is sprinkled with sesame seeds, making it more fragrant compared to typical Taiwanese-style fried pork chops. The batter is not too thick. Since it’s fried and then braised, the texture is moist and crispy (not dry crispy). I guess this makes it less heat-inducing than dry crispy ones. It’s salty, fragrant, and delicious.
