Malaysian Vibes in Sham Shui Po

While in Sham Shui Po, I suddenly craved Malaysian food. It turns out that So Ma So Ma has closed down, and recently this place called Ba Go Ba Go has taken its spot. They offer lunch set options, and I chose the signature rat noodles, laksa, and bean sprout chicken. The rat noodles looked good, with several slices of pork belly neatly arranged, and the most attractive part was the pork lard. However, the pork belly was too tough. The laksa was quite rich and the soup base was very fragrant. The bean sprout chicken had a chicken flavor, and the chicken could be more tender and smooth, but the bean sprouts were a big letdown—not the nice Ipoh-style bean sprouts at all. The set comes with pulled tea or coffee, served in a small cup, quite Malaysian in flavor.
