Escape the crowds with Hong Kong's hidden gem islands, the Kwo Chau Islands

Here are three ways to get to the Kwo Chau Islands: Method 1️⃣ From various districts in Hong Kong, take the red minibus directly to Sai Kung Pier from Mong Kok Langham Place (the minibus has "Sai Kung" written on the front, easy to find, $20 HKD one way); after arriving at Sai Kung Pier, charter a boat to depart, about a 30-minute boat ride (arrange the boat in advance by sharing with others, about 300 HKD per person, max 17 people per boat) Method 2️⃣ Cross the border at Futian Port into Hong Kong, take the East Rail Line to Sha Tin Station, exit at A, walk into the mall towards Maxim’s, head to the atrium, then find the bus stop sign on the right, go down the escalator and turn around to find the 299x bus stop to Sai Kung, go to Sai Kung Pier terminus, get off and cross the street to Sai Kung Pier (about a one-hour ride) Method 3️⃣ Book a day tour, around 500+ HKD per person, you can Google to find local Hong Kong tours directly. ————— Outdoor activities suitable for the small islands: fishing 🎣, snorkeling, island hiking, 🚣‍♀️ kayaking adventures! ————— 📷 Photo spots: ✅ National Geographic magazine cover cliff ✅ Cannon Rock ✅ Moon Cliff ✅ Lighthouse No. 200 · East Sea Beacon The islands are truly stunning, every photo looks amazing, and all are straight from the camera with no filters!!!! When I landed on the island, I could hardly believe I was still in Hong Kong!!! 🔥 My personal suggestion is to explore the peninsula near Lighthouse No. 200 first after getting off the boat, then climb over to the other side of the peninsula after finishing this side. ————— ⚠️ Important notes - Kwo Chau is a deserted island with no residents, no facilities, and no shops. Bring your own drinking water, sunscreen, and snacks. - Climbing is required, some rocks are loose, and there are no safety measures. Please be extremely careful and avoid going alone.
