Tonight, I met up with friends at the Harbour Plaza Hotel next to Whampoa, where there is a Mediterranean restaurant with breathtaking sea views. The Bayside is located by the waterfront, offering stunning views of Victoria Harbour. The atmosphere is excellent, making it perfect for relaxing, chatting with friends, and enjoying fine wine and food. We chose the Tasting Menu starting at $328 per person 🔸Appetizers Japanese scallops with lemongrass vinaigrette and French oysters. The oysters are plump, uniquely paired with passion fruit sauce, refreshing and delightful. 🔸Snacks Spanish ham and cheese, cod tartare, and foie gras. The foie gras is crispy, paired with balsamic vinegar and mixed berries, balancing the richness of the foie gras. The fish fillet Mexican quesadilla combines multiple flavors, with Mexican smoked chili sauce and pickled red onions, fresh and crispy. 🔸Main Courses Aged Wagyu beef with mashed potatoes The beef is tender and smooth, with a charred outer layer and juicy, flavorful inside. Definitely a premium choice, add $38 for this dish. Spanish suckling pig with potato wedges The suckling pig is tender and juicy, with thin, crispy skin, paired with honey mustard sauce and gravy, a delightful surprise. 🔸Desserts Tiramisu and coconut-flavored Italian gelato Both desserts are not overly sweet. 🍕Hawaiian Pizza $88 An additional dish, rich in texture and full of toppings, pairs perfectly with wine. 🍷Drinks The Bayside Sangria $108 Made with brandy, red wine, red vermouth, peach, mixed fruits, and berries, it has a fresh fruity flavor and is easy to drink. Hummingbird by the Bay $108 A mix of rum, Italian black cherry liqueur, lime juice, cranberry juice, and red wine, with a prominent tartness and a rich red color.
