This event is one of the key activities during the Dragon Boat Festival in Hong Kong and is the largest dragon boat race in the world, attracting a large number of local and overseas spectators every year. The atmosphere is lively, and some participants dress up creatively to add to the fun. The racecourse is 270 meters long, and the short distance makes the race pace more intense and exciting. The organizers announced that a total of 190 dragon boat teams from Hong Kong and overseas will participate this year, with a new mixed team category added independently. Free water stations and recycling stations are available near Stanley Main Beach for the convenience of spectators. In addition, the Hong Kong Dragon Boat Short Distance Race will also be held at Stanley Main Beach on June 14, 2025.
