The Superior Aura of Asia-Pacific’s Flagship ～ Luxurious Recommendation: Grand Hyatt Hong Kong

#LuxuryHotelsHongKong Opened in 1989, the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong has stood for 36 years, witnessing many significant moments in Hong Kong’s history, including the 1997 handover. The passage of time has only enhanced the charm of this classic hotel full of Hong Kong style, and it remains the flagship Grand Hyatt in the Asia-Pacific region. Its unique location and stunning Victoria Harbour views continuously radiate the extraordinary aura of a flagship property. Rooms: This stay was in the Grand Club Harbour View King Room, located on the same floor as the Grand Club. The floor-to-ceiling windows face northwest, offering an unobstructed view of ICC, IFC, and the dazzling Central skyline. The room is about 40 square meters, with a living experience quite similar to Grand Hyatt Hangzhou. The space is practical, fully equipped with modern amenities, and keeps pace with the times. Dining: The Grand Club is definitely the highlight! Especially during the evening Happy Hour, with unlimited Ruinart champagne🍾 paired with exquisite macarons, showcasing the high-end style and strong capabilities of the flagship Grand Club. The view outside the windows here is even better than from the guest rooms. For lunch, we chose the hotel’s Western restaurant; the a la carte steak was tender and juicy, with impeccable quality. Breakfast was rich and diverse, with a spacious serving area offering a wide variety of dishes to fully satisfy the palates of travelers from around the world. Public Areas: The hotel lobby features a double-height design, with a giant floral arrangement in the atrium, complemented by flowing water features on both sides and a spiral staircase, making every guest stop and admire the former glory and prosperity. The pool and spa area are outdoors, connected to the neighboring Renaissance Hotel. Unfortunately, during the Lunar New Year period, the pool was under maintenance and unavailable, but guests can use the pool facilities at the adjacent hotel. Service: Overall, the service attitude was warm and welcoming. The front desk, concierge, and Grand Club (GC) staff all deserve praise. However, the restaurant service was somewhat disappointing; during breakfast, no one cleared plates, which piled up like small mountains without staff stepping forward to handle them. Summary: Although the hotel boasts an excellent sea view, transportation is somewhat inconvenient, being far from the subway station and lacking directly connected shopping malls nearby. Every time going out basically requires taking a taxi (and coming from the Regent Hotel, the driver overcharged me😫). Nevertheless, the overall standard of the hotel truly lives up to its flagship status, especially for World of Hyatt Globalists who can enjoy excellent treatment here.
