Flowing Echo Reservoir is located within Pat Sin Leng Country Park in Northeast New Territories. Built in 1968, it is a peaceful spot for outings, perfect for families and nature lovers ⛱️ It is famous for the "Sky Mirror," where the reservoir's surface is calm like a mirror, reflecting the blue sky, white clouds, and Melaleuca trees, creating a picturesque scene 🎨 (Unfortunately, the water was murky on the day of the visit, so the Sky Mirror effect was not visible ☹️ ✅ Natural Scenery and Ecological Experience The area around the reservoir is filled with bald cypress and Melaleuca trees. In autumn and winter, the bald cypress leaves turn a beautiful mix of red, orange, and yellow, with stunning reflections in the water, making it a popular photo spot 😆 The rich ecology attracts dragonflies and butterflies 🦋 A new species of damselfly was even discovered here! The barbecue and picnic facilities are well-equipped, and kids can run around on the grass, enjoying nature with ease 🥰 ✅ Convenient Environment and Transportation The Flowing Echo hiking trail is 4.4 kilometers long and takes about 2 hours to complete. The path is gentle, suitable for beginners and children 👍🏻 The environment is tranquil, but it can get crowded on holidays, so visiting on weekdays is recommended.
