Tsuen Wan Plaza New Thai Cuisine

Tsuen Wan Plaza recently opened a new Thai restaurant called Mi Thai. The decor is quite modern, and the seating is fairly comfortable. For lunch, I ordered the Thai spicy minced pork rice and the braised pork knuckle boat noodles with rice noodles. The Thai minced pork rice is only mildly spicy but quite flavorful, perfect with rice. The crispy-edged egg was overcooked and didn’t have a runny yolk, so points deducted there. The key to good boat noodles is having fried pork rinds, and this place has them, but the portion is too small and could be more generous. The braised pork knuckle could also be softer. The complimentary mini spring rolls were served hot, almost burning the mouth, and tasted great dipped in sweet and sour sauce. Adding $5 gets you authentic Thai milk tea, which is spot on.
