【West Kowloon】Xia Jiangnan: A Jiangnan Dinner with Sunset Views

Located within the Hong Kong Palace Museum, Xia Jiangnan boasts a prime location where diners can enjoy a meal while taking in the enchanting sunset views of the museum. The restaurant features a minimalist and cozy decor. On weekday evenings, the place is relatively quiet, offering a tranquil dining environment. The service is warm and attentive, with dishes served at just the right pace. As for the menu, we ordered a few small dishes and a set meal to savor the flavors of Jiangnan cuisine. The cucumber with black fungus was crisp and refreshing, with the black fungus offering a chewy texture. The sweet and sour sauce made it a delightful appetizer. The signature smoked duck noodles stood out as the restaurant's specialty, with springy noodles, a rich broth, and duck meat carrying a subtle smoky flavor. Unfortunately, the salted duck was sold out that evening, so we missed the chance to try it. While the food quality was decent, it wasn't particularly outstanding.
