Buffet Dinner at the Lobby Cafe

I love going out for dinner with friends after work. For a convenient and comfortable location, we chose the Lobby Cafe at Hopewell Hotel for a semi-buffet dinner. There are various appetizers, specialty salads, salad greens, Parma ham, and a cheese platter. Some dishes are even spring specials. My favorite is the crab meat and roe avocado mango papaya salad, which is bursting with fresh crab meat and is my top choice among salads. There are two types of salmon sashimi: yuzu salmon with green apple vinaigrette, which is refreshing and cuts through the richness, and beetroot salmon, which is sweet and succulent. There are both Chinese and Western soups and desserts, with unlimited coffee and tea. For an additional HK$100-200, you can enjoy a main course. Options include beef, pork, lamb, fish, and chicken. You can share different dishes with friends. My personal favorites are the roasted Australian lamb rack with seasonal vegetables and balsamic sauce (+HK$200) and the Korean-style braised beef ribs with rice (+HK$150). The lamb rack is perfectly roasted, maintaining a pink hue and tender texture without any gamey taste. The Korean-style beef ribs are slightly spicy, with tender meat that pairs excellently with rice. The desserts are also quite special, including freshly made sweet and sticky osmanthus rice cakes, goji berry osmanthus jelly, popular pistachio mousse cake, jasmine tea white peach meringue, cookies, and apple crumble.
