I really love the decoration of the guest room. It combines classical elegance with a fashionable style, blending Chinese and Western elements, each shining in its own way, making it classic and timeless. The elegant and chic furniture is paired with creamy white leather upholstery and suitcase handles, presenting a retro travel suitcase. It is recommended to stay in the super deluxe sea view rooms here. The charming Victoria Harbour and the beautiful scenery of the coastal city outside the window can be taken in before your eyes. It is prosperous whether it is day or night. I also love the bathroom space in the guest room. It is spacious enough and the marble-paved bathroom looks magnificent. It is paired with custom-made perfumes designed by fashion master Oscar de la Renta, which has extraordinary taste and style. I also noticed a red box of soap on the bathroom sink. There was a traditional Chinese lion pattern engraved on the box. The details were perfect. Chinese elements like this are actually clearly reflected in many places in the hotel. For example, the utensils for drinking tea in the guest rooms, and the images of the Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea, Mu Guiying and other characters hanging on the walls of the public corridors; for example, the silver-plated chopstick holders in the shape of a sailboat in the Chinese restaurant "Jialing Tower", the menu with cloth-carved statues of the Eight Immortals, and the numerous teapot ornaments, are all very Chinese aesthetic presentations. The Jialing Tower also has a spiral lacquer screen called "Summer Resort" made in Foshan during the reign of Emperor Kangxi in the 17th century. It is a private collection loaned by the hotel's boss. This screen was originally supposed to be a pair, with the other side currently in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Of course, as the only Chinese restaurant in the hotel, "Jialinglou" naturally has Chinese traditions and charm. The restaurant has already won one Michelin star. Starting from May, it invited star chef Tang Chi Keung as guest chef to combine the signature dishes with tea pairing to bring diners special lunch and dinner sets, presenting a culinary feast that combines traditional and creative cooking philosophy. Another special feature of "Jia Lin Lou" is tea pairing with meals, which is an important part of the restaurant. There is a special tea bar here with 20 kinds of tea. The tea artist knows very well what kind of tea goes with what kind of food. The fragrant tea makes diners look forward to tasting the next dish that is about to be served. The lobby is mainly beige with gold as the main tone. The ceiling is painted with gold trim, and there are extremely luxurious capitals of Greek gods and floral reliefs, which are very elegant and luxurious. This time I stayed in the hotel on a weekend, and seeing is believing, there was indeed a long queue. At around 2:00 p.m., there was already a long line. The afternoon tea atmosphere here is the taste of the years. There is a string band to entertain the lobby. They play classical music in the pavilion on the second floor, which is full of British style. The Peninsula is famous for its afternoon tea, but they are also famous for their tableware. Everything that can be used for afternoon tea, such as teapots, tea strainers, tea spoons, knives and forks, and refreshment stands, as well as some tableware in other restaurants in the hotel, are made from special silverware from British Roberts & Belk. It is said that the hotel owns about 80,000 pieces of silverware, and 48,000 pieces are used every day, requiring 8 special machines to clean and polish. The silverware is still as shiny and bright as new to this day, and it is also the "hero" that enhances the guests' enjoyment of dining and food. On my last day at the hotel, I went to the swimming pool at noon to lie down for a while, avoiding the crowded time. This place has a Roman style, with exquisitely crafted columns, friezes, sculptures and cornices, creating a magnificent palace atmosphere. I love this space so much, it is a quiet oasis in the city, full of artistic conception, better than the sky swimming pool in the clouds.
