Urban Canvas: Celebrating Creativity at HKWALLS Street Art Festival 2025

The HKWALLS Street Art Festival 2025 was an incredible celebration of creativity and community in Hong Kong. Organized by the non-profit HKWALLS, this annual event aims to promote street art and transform the city's walls into vibrant canvases. Held in March, part of the festival took place at PMQ, featuring an impressive exhibition that included a painted sculpture by Isaac Cordal, which captivated visitors. One standout piece was by Rotterdam-based artist Jelmer Konjo, whose vibrant flower murals were both inspiring and playful, instantly brightening the space. The exhibition also showcased works from various local and international artists, creating a diverse tapestry of artistic expression. Beyond the exhibition, the streets of Central and Sheung Wan came alive with art, featuring stunning pieces by Shaw Daan, JUM, and Elsa Jean de Dieu. Walking through these neighborhoods, I felt the energy and creativity that street art brings to the community. Over the years, HKWALLS has successfully breathed life into the streets, fostering a sense of connection among residents and visitors alike. This festival is a must-see for anyone who appreciates art and the power it has to unite people.
