Hiking at Mount Pina｜The Red House at Mount Parker. Wild boars are on the prowl. Mount Pina Lookout Mount Bina, also known as Mount Bila, is located in the eastern part of Hong Kong Island, between Jardine's Lookout and Mount Parker, with an altitude of 435 meters. The northern part of the mountain belongs to Tai Tam Country Park (the Quarry Bay extension), while the southern part belongs to Tai Tam Country Park. There is an observation deck on the top of the mountain, from which you can overlook the Tai Tam Reservoir and the mountains in the Eastern District of Hong Kong Island. Actually, my hiking route this time did not end at Mount Pina, because I encountered heavy fog halfway, and for safety reasons I had to stop at Mount Pina! This trip really made me realize the truth that “if the mountain doesn’t move, the road will move; if the road doesn’t move, people will move”! Transportation to Mount Pina: This time, the Mount Pina hiking route will depart directly from Exit A of Quarry Bay MTR Station, so there is no need to take other means of transportation! Summary of walking route: Quarry Bay > Mount Parker Road Nature Trail > Mount Parker Red House (Linbian Biodiversity Nature Education Centre) > Tai Fung Au Pavilion > Mount Beacon Viewing Platform (return along the original route) The whole journey took about 3 hours and 44 minutes to complete! Small thoughts: This hike not only made me realize the truth that "if the mountain doesn't move, the road will move; if the road doesn't move, people will move", but also taught me that "one should know when to advance and retreat". The most important thing when hiking is safety. In addition to not being able to see the scenery due to heavy fog, the most important thing is that we may not be able to see the road ahead, so we chose to end the trip early! The most regrettable thing was the heavy fog. This route originally had 360-degree scenery, but then it became 360-degree fog! Starting from Quarry Bay, the trail along the Mount Parker Road Nature Trail to Mount Beina is very easy to walk, with many rest areas and multiple routes to choose from. You can join other hiking routes at any time according to your personal preferences. It is very suitable for beginners!
