For those who get off the plane in the morning, we recommend coming here before going to your accommodation in the city. You can leave your luggage at Citygate outlets. There are 2 ways to get to this temple: take the Ngong Ping cable car or take the bus. We chose to take the bus there and then take the cable car back because we had to save some money. 🥹 The cable car is very expensive. It costs about 850 baht (but we bought it on Trip.com for about 680 baht. For the bus, take bus number 23 at the bus depot near Citygate. The price is about 48 dollars (if you convert it to Thai baht, it is x5). It takes about half an hour to reach the top. The weather is very cold, my lady. We went on December 26th. The weather was about 14-15 degrees Celsius, but the wind felt like it was in the single digits. It's so cold and lonely, I recommend wearing a long-sleeved shirt and a sweater over it, it will help a lot. Then walk up the stairs to the Big Buddha, it's quite windy, but as I said, the air is freezing and windy up there.
