Xing Hai Hui at Courtyard by Marriott Shatin Shek Mun has always been one of my favorite dining halls! Whether it is afternoon tea snacks or dinner side dishes, they have always maintained extremely high reviews and standards. The restaurant is gorgeously decorated and is a great place for winter solstice family reunions, anniversary gatherings, and wedding banquets. The interior decoration, staircase and stage are all popular check-in spots! The signature white pepper crab stewed rice base is cooked on site and served in a large clay pot. Remove the lid and pour white pepper sauce on it, the aroma will fill the air! The rice is a bit sticky and has a burnt aroma, having absorbed the fresh flavor of white pepper and crab juice. It is extremely delicious! The crab roe is big and fresh, and the portion is generous. The fresh meat and the fragrant rice are so tempting that you can’t resist! The crispy roast goose has a crispy skin, and the meat inside is not tough or dry, with a rich tangerine peel flavor. The Chencun vermicelli at the bottom is also refreshing and smooth, great! The chicken soup with cabbage, fish maw and fish paste is rich in ingredients, has a strong fire, and the soup base is sweet and nourishing. The Sheltering Crispy Squid is not spicy, the skin is fried golden and crispy, the squid is very fresh, soft and chewy, and the cooking standard is very high. Xing Hai Hui has launched several new autumn and winter dishes in December, including white pepper crab, Peking duck and delicacy set meals, which are very affordable! The hot pot is available all year round. The last dish to come on stage was my favorite sugar cane mala cake. It’s not too sweet, but has a strong sucrose flavor, which softens in the mouth and can completely let the taste buds in the mouth experience a new level of sweetness!
