Stunning Views on Hong Kong: The Peak

#hongkongtrip Any city looks amazing from a bird's-eye view, because that's the only way it opens up in all its diversity and grandeur. And Hong Kong is no exception. I love such views and the first thing when I come to a new city, I look for a panoramic restaurant or a platform to climb. Hong Kong is a real paradise for people like me, because there are many opportunities to look down on the city, because in terms of the concentration of skyscrapers, it is second only to Manhattan. Despite the large number of observation decks, panoramic restaurants and clubs, you need to choose carefully: not every place is worthy of a visit. However, everyone agrees on one thing: the view of Hong Kong, which is visible from Victoria Peak, is one of the best. And, perhaps, one of the most popular on the Internet. And no wonder: from a bird's eye view, you can see a panorama of Hong Kong Island with its skyscrapers, the strait separating the island, and Jiulong, the mainland of Hong Kong. Victoria Peak is the highest point in Hong Kong. It got its name in honor of the English Queen Victoria. At that time, only foreigners settled in these surroundings, and the Chinese were forbidden to enter. As a rule, locals call it simply "Peak". The height of Victoria Peak is 554 meters above sea level. The peak has an irregular shape and consists of several peaks. Viewing platforms were made for tourists here, green parks were laid out, buildings with cafes and restaurants were built. The Morning Trail is a popular road to Victoria Peak for tourists visiting Hong Kong. You can not only climb up it, but also take a walk at the level of the observation deck, viewing the city 360 degrees. Locals love to play sports here. There are often people running along the trail. There are also playgrounds with outdoor exercise equipment. The paid observation deck at Victoria Peak is located in The Peak Tower building. The tower was built according to the project of the European architectural bureau. The design resembles a rice bowl. Not so long ago, a major reconstruction took place here. Inside there is an entertainment tourist complex. There you can visit the wax museum and game rooms. A tram stops next to it. There are several options for climbing Victoria Peak in Hong Kong. You can use a special funicular (tram), bus, car or climb on foot. But first you need to get to the foot of the peak.
